Third Grade homework is provided to reinforce skills and concepts
learned in the classroom.
ReadingStudents are expected to read a minimum of 20 minutes each evening. Depending on your child's teacher, students are expected to record their reading homework in their daily planner or a daily reading log which is kept in each student's homework folder. Each evening students should record their reading to show what book he/she is reading, how long reading took place and have a parent/guardian to sign their planner or log.

Word StudyInformation regarding our Word Study/Spelling/Phonics homework will be made available after the start of the new school year.
Instructions and information will also be forwarded via Class Dojo and in Tuesday folders. |
MathKeeping mathematical concepts and skills fresh and learned since the beginning of the year is one goal of our daily homework. On Monday, students are given the weekly math sheet that consists of assignments for Monday - Thursday. Students are expected to complete homework each evening but having the homework in advance allows flexibility should evening schedules get too busy on an evening. The weekly math homework is due on Friday.
